Cutthroat Cafe

When you walk in, it feels like home and everyone is happy to see you! Chip, the owner is just the most friendly guy and truly visits each table (when he's there) to see how your dinning experience is going. You leave there, feeling you're family. The food is down to earth, cooked like home and so yummy! The best in our opinion is the 'Long Horn Burger'...smothered with green chili, onions and cheese~ a huge meal!

I’ve had burgers here before and they were good but the chopped sirloin steak has to be the most unique and beautifully crafted steak I’ve ever had. The way it falls apart so perfectly in your mouth it’s almost like it’s ground beef. Beautiful steak I couldn’t imagine if they put buns on the bottom and top. Cutthroat cafe more like cutthroat stakehouse!! Everyone get the sirloin chopped steak!

Stopped for lunch. Was excited to hear they serve breakfast all day. Had a smothered burrito and it was delish and filling.

Unexpected stop on our way to Guanella pass. This place had great breakfast at a very reasonable price. If I ever head back up to Guanella pass I will for sure stop to have a couple of drinks.

The food is really great, good portions. Generally the staff is very good. Today I ordered on the phone for pickup and was put on hold in order for someone to be rung up and I can hear the staff person arguing with the customer. I went there to pick up my order and asked if I could pay and the phone rang and I was asked to hold on while I was there in order for them to take the order and I brought that up to her that not only was I put on hold when I called in order for her to ring someone up and now she is telling me to hold so that she take an order over the phone. She continued to argue with me over and over as to why she did it and I asked her to stop a few times. She continued to argue. She did comp my meal and I told her I was not looking for a free meal . I got my order, food looked wonderful and I went to wash my hands and that same staff person assumed I had left and I got to hear her talk about me to all the other waitresses. Like I said everybody has always been very polite. I did speak with her directly and explain to her that I did not appreciate her saying the things she was saying. Not a great environment for other customers to be hearing this either in my opinion but like I said the food is good and I have never had an issue with the staff before this. Only three stars because of her arguing with the customer when I was ordering over the phone and for her attitude towards me as well.

Decent flavors, poorly executed. Pancakes were under cooked. Sausage/eggs were overcooked. The cinnamon roll had good flavor but was stale. No mask enforcement and some tables inside were less than 3 ft apart.

Also, you serve home fries not hash browns. Stop calling them hash browns.

Diner style food, nice for a quick bite in the morning. I wish they had more/better fish options for a place named after a trout. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Indoor and outdoor seating although I recommend sitting indoors to avoid the traffic and the unfortunate dumpster placement.

We had an unpleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was very chaotic and the staff were kind of short. The servers were shouting to one another from across the dining area. It made it hard to have a conversation at our own table. One server yell-talked taking everyone’s orders. It just wasn’t an enjoyable place to have breakfast. The food was not very impressive but it didn’t taste bad, just bland.
