This coffee takes coronavirus very seriously. Only one person can come inside and order and others have to wait outside, but not for long. We had the brown sugar latte and it was really good. They also have cute desserts as well. The quality was great of the coffee and the coffee shop in general is cute as well. Don’t forget to wear your mask!

I have had better coffee for much cheaper. Lab is a certain type of coffee shop in Ann Arbor. It looks clean, put together, and not what you would expect to find halfway down the block. When you walk in you are not greeted, judged by the clothes you were wearing, and treated with little to no respect. You are treated this way just because you didn't show up to a coffee shop in designer clothing. This is a coffee shop for the elite, someone who wants to pay $5 for a shot of espresso. When I asked the apathetic counter lady if there was any nuts in one of their delicious looking cookies, her response was "why do you want to know?" I said "because I'm allergic to nuts, and was wondering if I could eat it." She responded with "well it doesn't look like there is." And I asked "do you know or are you just assuming cuz I don't want to have an allergic reaction. Is it possible that you could check for me?" She gave me a Blank Stare and then asked what kind of coffee I would like. I decided to get a shot of espresso with some milk in it, specifying that I do not want coconut milk or almond milk I wanted milk. And she said "oh you want Dairy Milk." I didn't know that we were calling it that nowadays, but I guess I was corrected. The coffee was okay, but the reason why I'm giving it two Stars, instead of one. Was the second employee that I interacted with, who saw my interaction with the first, came back and said "I checked the ingredients list on the cookies and there's no nuts, also I call milk, milk." Then she gave me a smile.

This is one of my favorite cafés in the area. Their matcha is delicious and the service is excellent!! The café is always clean and has such a relaxing ambiance. My only con is the lack of seating: I wish there were more places to sit! Otherwise I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality coffee or tea (plus some absolutely amazing baked goods).

First I love local independent coffee shops and I'm not a Starbucks gal at all. So I was thrilled to try the lab. First the girl who took our order was more than rude to us...and yes we added a tip to Our order..just plain rude! Now the
Girl who actually made our coffee order was nice. But I have to give a one star on service and taste of coffee. Coffee was bitter and not very hot. Sadly cute decor but we won't be back.

Each time I come here, the staff exceeds my expectations.
The matcha green tea latte was recommended to me by the owner (which is nice to see, because a lot of owners don't seem to show face at their own businesses), and it was delicious and aesthetically pleasing. The latte art is very neat and crisp. Little details go a long way.
Additionally, the ambience is very warm and inviting, with a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

Delicious coffee (I recommend the New Orleans!) and a very trendy and comfortable atmosphere. The staff are so friendly, and its close to a parking garage with plenty of shopping/restaurants within walking distance. Definitely recommend!

I got the salmon and tuna poke bowl. The fish was very fresh and clean. However, the brown rice in the bowl was hard. Since there is a decent amount of rice in the bowl, it greatly reduced how much I enjoyed eating the bowl and found myself just wishing I had more fish.
Parking is convenient as it is surrounded by a neighborhood. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They also have seating options outside the building itself, so if the day is nice, it is a great option!

The lab cafe (with a lowercase L) is my new favorite coffeeshop since moving to Ann Arbor. They have good coffee (and mocha, latte, etc) served in real, sustainable cups (with self-service dish bins near the exit), and excellent pastries. Case study: the first time I went, I ordered a coffee and a vegan cookie and I as a non-vegan couldn't taste that it was vegan - as smooth and creamy as a cookie made with butter. I don't know how they did it but I'm impressed.

First coffee experience in Ann Arbor and it was great. I could feel the cashiers empathetic heart and the person making the coffee gave her suggestion to help me get exactly what I wanted! Thank you! And go GREEN!
