Wonderful Brewery with great craft beer and food. But, beware of the GR wolves prowling around the area waiting to pounce on any car that is 5 seconds past the 1 hr parking limit. I called the City and asked why their parking program didn’t allow me to extend my 1 hr limit. They said I had to go out and move my car to another parking space. I’m sure Founders would love seeing customers running out of the restaurant to move their car every hour. GR’s parking app is set up to alert them when a spot is about to expire, thus maximizing their revenue.

Came here to celebrate 40th birthday. What a disappointment. 2.5 hour wait to finally be told our order wouldn't be completed by manager. Our non existent server clearly didn't care either. Other tables were in the same boat as us. Disappointed :-/

So glad I was finally able to come here!! Founders has always been a favorite of mine and it did not disappoint from the moment I walked in to the time I left! The vibe was incredible, weather it was sitting inside with the open relaxed space to enjoying the patio with the outside bar. The food was on point and so fresh! So many options to choice from on tap from what’s new to the classics! A must stop when visiting Grand Rapids, MI.

I’d add more stars, but ever since this variety pack came out, it makes it THAT much harder to get your hands on the watermelon salt flavor. I already had to wait months for the watermelon green zebra to come out, and now it’s not even available in a pack. JUST The variety pack, and there’s only a couple cans. I’m very disappointed that I can’t buy the watermelon alone. I’ve seen it on tap at random bars but there’s no way to find it. I effing hate that I can’t enjoy the watermelon this season like I SHOULD be able to. FOUNDERS- MAKE IT MORE AVAILABLE!! It’s my favorite!

My fiance & I stopped here at the end of June for lunch on our way back to Pennsylvania. We decided to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. I love the large outdoor space they have, and I didn't mind being near the road. It was a nice atmosphere. They had plenty of beer, and all sorts of selections, which I love! I was able to get dark beer, which is super hard to find in the summer time. The food was all very good as well. I ordered the Louis A Cornelius sandwich, which was loaded with meat. It was very good. We also had the beer cheese dip, which was yummy! We wanted to purchase beer that wasn't being sold in breweries in other states, but unfortunately they only had 1 kind and it was sold out. Other than that everything was great, including the service!

When we got there we had to scan the code to get on the wait list. Wish it was posted on their site as we welould have done it before we arrived. Waited about a half hour to be seated with a group of 4. Funny enough, we never ordered a beer but did get food. Disappointed that sandwiches didn't come with any sides, especially for the price. I got a pizza which was average at best. Our waiter was very relaxed and we almost seemed to be a bother to him. Our food came out at separate times with about seven minutes between the first and last one being delivered. Overall it was ok, not terrible, not great.

This place is great. I love Founders beer and had to stop at the brewery for supper when I was in town. The atmosphere is great, the food is great, and there are plenty of beer options. I'll definitely stop here again if I ever make it back here. It's a must do for any one. I had my wife and 2 kids (10 & 7) and they all thought it was great too

Walking up to the bar it has a nice appearance. It was a postive place, with many choices of drinks. The only thing I didn't like was it was a seat yourself in a busy establishment. I've walked around looking for a area for a good 10 minutes until finding a spot. Once we were seated the service was great and our waiter was patient with us. I would totally come back to this place, but at a non-busy hour.

Couldn’t have been worse. It was busy, so I understand having to wait to be sat but it took way longer than quoted. When asked how much longer the host was really rude. Once finally sat, food and beer came quick. Food was terrible. There was no sauce or kraut on the Rueben. The bread was barely toasted. Once finished, we waited 35 mins for our server to come back with the checks. We had been out of water and beer and just kept looking around hoping to make eye contact as we wanted to cash out and leave. Definitely better places in GR to go to. Not sure why everyone is obsessed with founders, must be out of towners who keep that place afloat.

Founders is doing well fighting COVID! The procedures they took might be by far the best I’ve ever experienced. So definitely come if you're kinda worried but still need some break quarantining.

I really like their sour beer. Also the Castro sandwich is really tasty. But the Cheesesteak is not really what I’m expecting. The steak is not as juicy and moist as I thought.
