The Original Owl Bar & Cafe

Went there on a Monday for lunch. Wife and I had green chili cheeseburgers and an order of fries and onion rings. Our waitress was great. The cheeseburger was fantastic—up in the top ten percent for us. The fries and onion rings were solid. Overall a great experience with our only comment is that the fries and onion rings came out five minutes after the burgers. Will definitely stop by again.

Maryann, our server was great. We did have to ask for silverware, refills on our water and extra napkins but she was so very nice and when the cook messed up my dad's order she went back to the kitchen and made it herself. Granted, it was only a grilled cheese with onions but she didn't want him to have to wait longer than necessary. This was my first time there and she made it an extra special one. She was very much appreciated.

Had my first green Chile cheeseburger while stranded here last week. The car breaking down didn't seem like a big deal after stopping here. Thanks for the wonderful service (and phone charger)

The service was friendly and prompt. The burger was good, but there was something off about the pickles. I love dill pickles, but these had to be removed, which is why I can't give 5 stars. The fries were average. It would be nice to have the burger and fries arrive at the same time on the same place.

This cafe is along a long drive I make periodically. If I lived close I would eat here every week. I like the bar/cafe itself and was completely satisfied w/ my burger and onion rings. The price was also fair. I will certainly stop back in whenever I’m able. Nice people.

One of my very favorite places to eat. Certainly some of the best green chile cheeseburgers anywhere, but the steak dinners are great as well with lots of sides. Full bar, good selection of beers. Where the Owl really shines is the atmosphere and the people. Great service, very friendly, cozy. A New Mexico classic.
