Bagel Lovers Café

I've always enjoyed bagel lovers and have been for the last 20 years back when they were in the Oakhurst plaza in linglestown however that has sadly changed.
Their exorbitant increase in price, lacking customer service and toxic ownership has led me as well as many other customers and employees to look elsewhere for a quality bagel.

I understand everything has gone up in price since the pandemic as it used to cost a $1.99 for a bagel with cream cheese prior to the pandemic. However now a bagel cost almost $5 and you're charged individually for the bagel the cream cheese and for it to be toasted. This is almost 150% increase in price which does not correlate with the increase in cost (but I'm sure the owner will comment on this and berate me and say I don't know what I'm talking about even though I'm a small business owner as well).

The customer service has become lacking the majority of employees that had been there for years and I had even known some personally have all left due to workplace toxicity. You can no longer call in an order everything has to be done through an app most likely due to not having enough staff to actually take calls. This is also created the hours to be limited. The place is a shadow of its former self with only a few people in there even on a Saturday compared to in the past when it used to be packed constantly.

As for the toxic ownership anytime someone decides to review anything the owner berates and bashes the reviewer tells them they don't know what they're talkin about, they don't know the first thing about running a business, makes politically-charged statements, and then personally attacks individuals. Instead of taking criticism constructively they take it personally and then get personal. They do nothing but demonstrate unnecessary aggression, toxicity, greed, self-absorption and denial.

For all those reading still bagel lovers is
no longer it's former self. If you want a good bagel that's still well priced I recommend going to Ressler's on the West Shore.

Best begals we ever had! Employees super kind and even turned on songs for my 11 month old which she loved! Very very happy experience!

Great for takeout. The bagels are big and fluffy, and their tops are crusty -perfectly baked. Today I had the vegetable cream cheese on a plain bagel. The cheese was nice and chunky —with carrots and cucumber, but light on green onions.
I’ve never had their coffee, or eaten in, but there are a few tables.
The service is ok. Today it seemed as if two people were training two other people. It’s a small store, so don’t expect the assembly line efficiency of Panera.

We came in at 9:30 and it's 10:30 now and we have t gotten our food. A couple of people came in after us and got their food before us .

Love the bagels but the prices for the topping for the bagels I think are so over priced I would go more often but don't wanna spend over 5 dollars for a bagel

Always have a great experience here. The staff is nice and never had any issues. I only go there when I’m in the Harrisburg area since I live in York but the bagels are amazing! I’ve bought them for work before and my coworkers definitely go after them as soon as I arrive. The cream cheese is delicious as well! Definitely worth the drive!

I live in NJ and still drive out to the farmers Market out in Lemoyne to get these bagels. The French toast bagel and the Jalapeño one are God tier

I love this bagel place. Im from california and only dropping by here at this adorable and cozy store. They have all sorts of bagels (including coconut ones) and they were really tasty, full of that dough zing. The coffee was decent. Surprised to know there wasnt Americano in the menu, but they figured out and friendly offered me one. Super friendly people, love the atmosphere here.

Woke up this morning with a strong craving for breakfast from here and they did not disappoint. I got a bagel with lox and cream cheese and my wife got a bacon bagel sandwich. both were amazing and portions were great

Ordered a sausage and cheese. They gave me the complete wrong sandwich. So much for their new online ordering bs system….breakfast ruined. Thank you….go back to old school way.
