Really good local coffee shop. I tried the latte and my husband had the cold brew. I really liked the coffee art, it was a heart. The place looks like a cool place to hang out with friends or get some work done.

This place has an endless potential BUT the staff are NEEDLESSLY SLOW and need to be retrained or replaced!

We have visited this place over 30 times now but today ‘s experience has finally broken my patience and I had to write my review.

Today, we came for a first visit for 2023 at this local coffee shop. Without fail, there is this particular barista who always lose focus and chats to her friends for a ridiculous length of time every time we visit. Today she made me wait 15 minutes upon ordering (when it was clearly NOT busy) standing right there while she took her sweet time to chat while dropping the ball on her paid work.
I tried to not ruin my day and patiently waited. Then another friend of hers join the conversation while her co coworker busily took orders. With over 8 cups backfilled she continued to yack away for an unreasonably long time. The sad thing is she does this ALL the time we see her on roster. My friends who ordered tea were already through their drinks by the time i joined them over 15 mins later…
Such behavior is very disrespectful of her. She never smiles, never friendly, never stops yacking. If I was the owner of this cafe, I would fire her right away. I am keen to reach out to them.
After a consecutive snow day, today was our first outing but we were so irritated by this disrespectful, unprofessional barista who does this every time we come here!
To owners: Please remind your employees that other people’s time is valuable too and they should take long personal conversation during their breaks or other time not when there are people waiting to get their drinks. I hope your employees improve their attitude towards a service mindset for the new year! Your staff are needlessly SLOW and unmotivated to be more efficient! I totally agree with previous low rating reviews regarding the slowness. Slow service, average to poor coffee, unmotivated staff!!! I am so done! In 2023 we are taking our business elsewhere.
Even at hotels such as the Grand America and Little America, the price of coffees are comparable with better parking and much better service!

Big coffeeshop perfect for finishing up your weekend tasks as well as homework.
Always got a place though it is super busy.
Price is just like other coffeeshops.
Wi-Fi is fast and reliable.
Lastly coffee quality is really good. Baristas are passionate about their job.

Parking is tricky in the weekends. Just drive around, you’ll find parking spots.

Just stopped in for a quick coffee meeting. I ordered the London fog, it was really good! The atmosphere is amazing, 2 floors and open.

First visit. My daughter and I love local coffee shops and she was excited to bring me on my first visit to SLC. I was not disappointed. Baristas were friendly and very helpful and coffee was great. I hope to go back.

I enjoy Publik coffee very much, but today was a less than enjoyable experience. I come here not only for the delicious coffee, but the fact that they offer GF toast is mind blowing. We ordered both drink and food, and then went to sit down. 15 min or so later we still haven't heard our name. We go down to pick up our items and I'm told by the counter staff, in a very monotone and unapologetic manner that they "can't make it because we are out of GF bread, we are trying to figure something out." I am very aware that there are no other GF items, and am stunned by what I would deem a lack of kind and helpful service. I was told they called my name like 10 min ago to let me know, which upstairs can be hard to hear sometimes, and was asked "what do you want to do?" This is not my decision as a customer! In my opinion you should be offering a refund immediately, apologizing for not checking before the order was paid for, providing me options to ensure I come back in the future. Poor show Publik. yes I know items run out but maybe consider having a few other items to offer? maybe some baked goods from City Cakes? maybe ALWAYS check stock of GF bread when fulfilling an order.

This is great place to get delicious coffee and sit and write for read for as long as you want. There’s lots of seating and a unique menu. The jam is delicious. Took some coffee beans for coffee at home.

Excellent bread, hand made and even GF options. The avocado toast was also wonderful, but when you slice the bread so thick, you need a thicker layer of avocado to go with.
The hot chocolate was little more than warmed milk. And I even asked for extra chocolate. For a place that does so much right, the hot chocolate is terrible.
Excellent location and space.

Great coffee and roaster serving up a full espresso menu and pour over options in an industrial space with ample seating. Toast menu too!

Delicious coffee, tons of seating (two stories), and generally good vibes. One of the only coffee shops with sufficient bathroom capacity too
