I had the pleasure of stopping by here while in town for work. Every time I travel I like to look up local shops that everybody goes to and I'm glad I decided to go here. They definitely had a variety some known some unknown and I bought them all. I don't even like red velvet cake and now it is one of my favorites, They know how to do their flavors just-right A+ + guys great job!!

Hands down the best donuts and the customer service was outstanding….. I told the gentleman that I had just gotten out of surgery and I ended up getting not only my wonderful donuts but a really sweet bag that said feel better happy Halloween with Halloween candy in it. talk about great customer service thank you so much!!!

Best donuts in Richmond. Maple bacon donuts are dangerous. Plenty of gluten free options

I really enjoyed the old fashioned cake donuts. The other donuts were great too. All around enjoyable. ❤🍩

Sugar Shack has some of the best donuts around, vegan or otherwise! I’d highly recommend the cinnamon bun for a vegan option and then the cronut/cake donuts for those who don’t have dietary restrictions.

My only small negative is that although the staff is all incredibly friendly and does a great job, I don’t think they’re optimized to get customers quickly in and out of the shop. If someone orders a drink, there’s been times the line is halted for a few minutes while the only person front of house makes it. Also I always need to wait in line for my pick up order and they usually end up packing it then (which feels like it defeats the purpose). But if you have an extra ~10 minutes to hang around for fantastic donuts, this is the place!

There are so many choices!!!! They all look so good! I feel like a child on Christmas morning when i walked in this shop!

I used to love coming here for the unique and cool different donuts they offer. Went here Sunday around 11am, the three college-aged workers didn't acknowledge us rather they were looking at something gross in the sink (which is just feet from the open donut display) debating how to/who would handle it...with us just standing there, looking at them, waiting to order. No pleasantries exchanged the entire time, the cashier just tossed our 4 donuts in the box, rang us up and continued on with her co-workers.
Everything about our 5 minutes in the shop was gross, from the way the workers presented themselves, whatever they had going on in the sink, the display case was messy and unclean looking and when we tried our donuts they were nothing like in the past and they honestly tasted cheap and old.
Unprofessional, and nasty.

Good, good, gooooood! Vegan strawberry milkshake is everything - tart-ish and delicious, you can taste the fresh strawberries! I’m not a huge donut fan but both donuts we ordered were good, I had a bite of each. The donut holes? Man. I might be a convert! 🤤

Always great donuts. They have excellent coffee and the specialty drinks are well prepared. If they are missing a donut, ask as they may not have it in the case. My personal favorite is the original cake donut, preferably when they have them iced with sprinkles.
