Wonderfully local restaurant, with vegan food that actually tastes good. They have a variety of breakfast and lunch option, along with a good coffee bar. Decor is art conscience and stylish, it made me feel comfortable and warm. The only bad thinga I can say about it is the parking lot is terrible, and it gets very crowded, so come early.

I would love this place, if only I wouldn't find hair in my food every other time. Seriously. The food tastes good, the options are amazing, especially the vegan ones, but I got soo tired of pulling out hair from their food. Once I had a short blond hair in my burrito and my friend pulled out a long black one from her burger. I didn't go back again for a while until I decided I'd give it another try today, and tadaaaa...! Pulled out another hair from right inside the burger patty.

Really wanted to give this one 5 stars as the food was good but the customer service ruined it. Ordered a Reuben and the response was, do you want salsa with that?” Nope, thanks. Continued to order and asked if they had fries. Was told that was only a breakfast item…who knew!? Asked if the sandwich had chips or something and response was a sarcastic, “yeah, that’s why I asked if you wanted salsa!” So…the Reuben comes with tortilla chips, which were good, but on what planet should one assume a Reuben automatically comes with those or without that knowledge, think salsa was a normal accompaniment!? Had good gluten free and vegan options but needs a customer service realignment!

$17 and I received a singular slice of extremely lightly toasted bread (they called French toast) 2 eggs and a slice of bacon cut in half. Pretty sad. That's a snack, not a meal.

Locals know there’s always going to be a wait for good food, especially in summer, but Middleway is one of those rare joints that fall in the “worth the wait” column. Inventive and thoughtful menu items that are well-made, and mostly good for you; pastries and other treats to satisfy your sweet tooth; and a quality coffee bar whether your eating in or just passing by. Great outdoor seating in the summer; cozy indoor seating the whole year around.

Great food and great drinks all reasonably priced. The wait is usually 15 to 20 minutes to get your food when its slightly busy so be prepared to wait. I got the tuna melt it was pretty messy but a lot of food.

We used to love going here and feel like it has really gone downhill. The service we recieved today was just nasty, and the options were sad. No gf/vegan treats at all and out of gluten free bread. It's the whole reason we came here because of the happy people and the options we can eat.

I gotta say, it's awesome having healthy vegan options. But not only have my (not modified) orders been wrong multiple times, but the last time I went, my sandwich turned out kinda gross.
I ordered a vegan avocado melt, which is my favorite, so I order it often. My partner got his food maybe 15 minutes before I did, and he got a burger, which I would think would take longer.
When I bit into my sandwich, there was something very stringy and chewy in it. It was the skin of a tomato slice? It was like they were old and sliced too thin or something. And it kept happening, but some of the stringy things were red onion. It was burnt and papery. When I was done, I had a pile of stringy vegetables.
I got the attention of someone running food and she responded with "well next time you get the avocado melt, don't melt it. That's what happens when you put a sandwich in a 350° oven." Her tone was so condescending, and I don't say that lightly. I used to be a line cook, and I at least know it's possible to make a sandwich better than that. I also know that at least some cooks there are capable of making a much better sandwich.
I love that this place is here, I love the food when it's made well, I love the baked goods. But it's so frustrating to continuously have problems here.

Cgerish is an amazing barista. They have the best coffee and yummy food.

Food was really. I liked that you order and pay and then sit down. Also appreciated their attention to quality food (organic eggs and real maple syrup among other things.) Staff thought my reindeer joke was funny so that’s a plus! Took a star because I ordered sautéed veggies and they have us what looked like 2 day old steamed veggies. Everything else was good though.
