I've loved everything I've ever gotten here. Today was a quiche and a cookie. They were both excellent.

If you no longer accept the downtown Lawrence gift card you should probably update that on the list or hang a sign up. To be given a gift card and go to your establishment for the first time, order food and find a table. Just to be told you no longer accept it. Horrible first experience and impression. Won’t be returning.

Best bakery in Lawrence and probably the best bakery in Kansas. They make the best baguette in the Midwest or maybe in the US or maybe on earth. The desserts are so delicious, you will eat your fingers after them. Try the pecan tartlets, they are so good, healthy and low on sugar. Try the cinnamon spice tea from the kosher brand Harney and Sons. It’s phenomenal. The decaf coffee was meh. The whole wheat bread was OK. However, I don’t like whole wheat bread anyway, so it’s OK.

My wife loves this place so much that she asks me if we can come here every week.

One of the restaurant wonders of Kansas, famous for its bread and for a community meeting place!

Good B&G but $3.35 for two pieces of bacon is nothing short of theft.

Fabulous fresh baked breads, beautiful, delicious pastries. A great place for food, coffee and a chat. If, in the winter, you're outside waiting for a friend, lean against the rounded outside wall for some extra warmth

Great quick breakfast spot. Good coffee, amazing cinnamon rolls. My husband likes their biscuits and gravy. Love their bagels (only on Sundays).

Their selection is hit or miss for me. I had the biscuits and gravy, with a blueberry muffin and a coffee. Their gravy was really good, but the biscuits were a bit on the tough side. I wasn't a fan of the blueberry muffin either. I usually really like things with blueberries in them, but this was a miss for me. I didn't like the texture. Made me think they used whole grain flour that hadn't been ground enough. This choice left the muffin with a grainy texture like undercooked couscous. We took home some rolls for later. I loved their rolls. Beautiful crunchy crust with a soft, delectable center. The coffee was weak enough that I had to go get another coffee from somewhere else. The staff were helpful, and the restaurant was clean.

So very busy when we were there! They were already out of most of their morning pastries. That only means they are so delicious people have to have them!

Food excellent. Fresh bread and lots of choices for desserts. Sandwiches run range of cold, or hot. Changing soups and salads are also available.

The entrance is a little confusing when there are many people waiting.

On street parking is a challenge with meters. But across the street is a two hour free lot. And this is only a short walk.
