I always get a good cup of coffee here. It can be busy here, but I almost always can find a seat. The service is always friendly and helpful. You can get drip coffee as well as a good selection of espresso. They have tasty pastries as well. I don't get down to the old port for a coffee, but this is usually where I head to when I need a coffee down there.

Awesome local coffee shop; staff was friendly & very knowledgeable. Would stop here agaon if I find myself back in Portland.

Quickly became my favorite coffee shop in Portland ME. After trying them all, this one stood out to me for both its outstanding espressos and coffees. Typically, I like one or the other at a coffee shop, but they both were amazing! Love all the non dairy options too

Good coffee, great Covid service, cute courtyard area to drink your coffee and enjoy the town!

The best coffee shop in Portland's Old Port. Incredible staff, they are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Would recommend going here over any other coffee shop in the Old Port. Great space to work, hang out and read, or just for a quick stop. Outdoor seating available in the summer months. Large open space with great natural light.

The coffee at Bard was honestly as good if not better than my favorite shops in Seattle or Brooklyn. The space is large and nice and bright and has plenty of seating. The staff is super friendly and pretty quick. The nitro cold brew is smooth, creamy, and delightful. It's definitely an iced coffee you sip and enjoy rather than suck down. It's a great place to either sit and enjoy or close enough to downtown and the water to head down to the water for a nice view and relax. And they even have a couple of outdoor tables for nice days and enjoying your drink with your dog.

Best coffee I've ever had (in Portland)! I have so many good memories about this place, people I've met there and the time I spent with my father there, after our very first road trip to Maine... I love the bucolic atmosphere, the always friendly staff (which might not be the same, since my last time there was in 2004!) and the delicious coffee (first time I ever had a cold brew - and I'm from Brazil!)... Walking through Old Port and not stopping there for a coffee feels like going to Rome and not seeing the Pope! ;)

Typical hipster BS. I almost walked across the street to Starbucks so I could be treated like a human and sit down, indoors, on a day where temps were below freezing. The coffee was fine, I suppose. Its coffee- can you really screw that up?

Super tasty. Gotta love those locally owned rosters. They brew and sell single origin roasts, which are probably the smoothest I have tried in Portland proper. You can order any number of coffee or tea drinks, which are all tops. A black coffee here does not need to be drowned in dairy (or non dairy, of which there are plenty of options)to be palatable. In fact, don't. This place looms large over the corporate mermaid across the street, that's for certain.

Really nice & friendly place - even the customers were friendly! It's very popular here, so be prepared to not have a place to sit. People like to work on their laptops and camp out at tables, so be aware. The coffee is excellent, and so are the Italian sodas.
